Stila and Jimmy choo

Marchesa Backstage

What a nice proposition. “Come on up to the Marchesa show and look at the make up” Oh, ok, if I must. Arrive at the Stila set up and talk to Talia Sobrook and Sara Lucero. The inspiration is Elizabethan. Pure, pale skin, matt, but still pretty. (Trend alert) Talia assures me that matt skin will be the next big thing in make up.

Marchesa Model

Alright, good to know. A flared line of individual lashes, the eye shadow is Boquet, Chinois and Smoky Quartz. Cheeks are the new Cherry Crush stain, also on lips. Subtle and beautiful, the Stila team is coming out with a whole pallet come Fall. Teddy Charles pulled back hair into a ’soft ballerina’ using T3 plump. (Gotta say I love that stuff).

Jimmy Choo

Dash over to Jimmy Choo to see my friend Anne Vincent, director of special events at Vogue. She is throwing a book signing for Amanda Goldberg & Ruthanna Khalighi Hopper. Their book, “Celebutantes” is a delicious peek at young Hollywood. Amanda and I realize we know each other because I worked with her father, Leonard Goldberg some years ago in “Aspen Extreme”! He is right there at the book signing, we catch up and I take him on a tour of Jimmy Choo’s and give him an education in shoes. He seems grateful! Get my book signed, will start it on the plane home.
